About us
Landsvirkjun Power is the engineering, construction and foreign investment arm of Landsvirkjun (The National Power Company in Iceland). The purpose of Landsvirkjun Power is primarily consultancy in development of power schemes, and secondly, investment in such schemes outside of Iceland.
The Landsvirkjun Power staff has extensive experience covering all phases of planning, site investigations, design and construction of hydroelectric and geothermal power stations as well as transmission networks.

We have the skills and tools to turn an idea into a fully operable project, from study to supervising the construction and commissioning. Our parent company can provide expertise in plant operations and maintenance programs. Landsvirkjun Power also has extensive experience in refurbishing and upgrading of power facilities.
