Landsvirkjun Power's team has extensive experience covering all phases of planning and constructing power plants and energy transmission networks. We have carried out research, preparatory work, design and construction work on all hydroelectric installations and high-tension transmission lines that Landsvirkjun has built in Iceland since 1965.

Research
Landsvirkjun Power carries out intensive environmental research relating to the planning, construction and operation of hydroelectric and geothermal power stations. A range of investigations are set in motion as part of any preparatory work. These investigations aim to increase understanding and gather information to be used during the planning and design phases and in environmental impact assessments. We also implement detailed monitoring research during the preparation and operation of power plants.
