Landsvirkjun Power representatives at HYDRO 2009
Bjarni Bjarnason, Guðmundur Pétursson and Dagur Georgsson participated in the international hydro power conference HYDRO 2009 in Lyon, France at the end of October. Landsvirkjun Power and their affiliate HECLA had their own stand at the Technical Exhibition introducing their activities. HECLA's main business is in the high voltage transmission line sector in France, mainly for RTE (Réseau de Transport d'Electricité). RTE runs the high voltage electrical transmission system owned by the State of France.
The stand attracted many visitors and Guðmundur and Dagur along with Jean Chauveau and Guillaume Suffy from HECLA, explained the activities of both firms.
About 1600 delegates from most of the countries in the world, mainly from the power compan
ies, consultants and manufacturers in the water power sector, participated in the conference, which was professional and successful.
